The Item Counter displays the total number of Items in your inventory.  


You can also temporarily "filter" your collection to display only items that match a certain criteria.  For instance only Company = "Lionel" or Era = "Prewar." If a filter has been applied, the row counter shows the number of rows (Items) shown that match the filter selections.
